Our curriculum unifies concepts and techniques from the following martial arts styles to create the most complete form of self-defense training for adults.
Krav Maga – Developed by the Israeli Defense Focus to train people of all ages and fitness levels, Krav Maga is a diverse hand-to-hand combat system that uses instinctive moves and natural inertia to neutralize and dominate your opponent regardless of size and strength. This is a high-energy program that, not only teaches students to protect themselves, but also keeps them fit, lean, and energetic.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) – A martial art and combat sport system that focuses on grappling, and especially ground fighting. BJJ promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves or another against a bigger, stronger, heavier assailant by using proper technique, leverage, and most notably, taking the fight to the ground, and then applying joint locks and chokeholds to defeat the opponent.
Muay Thai (“Thai Boxing”) – The national sport and cultural martial art of Thailand. It was developed several hundreds of years ago as a form of close-combat that utilizes the entire body as a weapon. This physical and mental discipline which includes combat on shins is known as “the art of eight limbs” because it is characterized by combined use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins. Muay Thai incorporates good physical preparation that makes a full-contact fighter (for anyone willing to train like one) very efficient.

STRIKING CONCEPTS
By combining techniques and ideas from Kickboxing, Muay Thai, & Krav Maga, our Striking classes allow our students to learn the basics of combatives while getting a tremendous workout.
You’ll learn how to use to properly use your body (punching, kicking, kneeing, & elbowing) while building strength & conditioning.
DEFENSE CONCEPTS
You will progress into Defense Concepts once you've achieved striking.
Defense classes focus on real-life scenarios. You'll learn to combine your striking abilities with quick, effective, and practical defense techniques to keep yourself and your loved ones safe!
GROUND CONCEPTS
When you feel confident about your Striking & Defense techniques, you will progress into learning Ground Concepts. In the event your altercation moves to the ground, we want you to be prepared.
FCTC's Ground classes will teach you how to control and improve your position with quality Jiu Jitsu techniques and strikes.
TACTICAL COMBAT CONCEPTS
When you're ready to take your training to the next level, you will progress into learning Tactical Combat Concepts.
Our "Control Unit" curriculum incorporates reality-based training that teaches you how to defend yourself against armed and multiple attackers. By the end of training, you'll be able to disarm, control, and subdue assailants.
